introducing physical activity has given me MORE SPOONS
I had a very green summer this year. Despite feeling a little crummy I was happy to play in the dirt! (One of my favorite things to do thanks to my Grandpa helping conquer my fear of dirt at a young age!!)
I’ve found that keeping moving REALLY helps my disease. It has definitely taken me a lot of time and work to get to be able to spend a day planting. I found that slowing introducing physical activity has given me MORE SPOONS.
I started with pushing myself to try but not too far to cause a flare-up. With any disease you have to listen to your body!! Only you will know how many spoons you can use and how far you can push the pain!
Only you will know how many spoons you can use
I started with little walks. 3 houses and back. Then just a little further. When I could go for longer walks I started doing only the poses I could in restorative yoga. Slowly and slowly I built up my stamina and endurance. I’m not saying that I am back to when I was disease free, I’m not “normal”. But, I am able to enjoy life much more. I have more spoons. I can plant.

I hope you can enjoy life and have just a few more spoons!
