Strawberry Ginger Smoothie

I like to use a Magic Bullet as I can make one portion size each morning before work without wasting extras. Increase proportions if using a blender or other mixing device.

Strawberry Ginger Smoothie

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Print

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Frozen Strawberries or Sliced Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 Banana
  • Ice Cubes as Needed
  • 1/2 Cup Silk Almond Milk (can Substitute other Milk Varieties)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • Grated Ginger (preferred) or Ground Ginger (taste to test)
  • 1/4 Cup Oatmeal
  • Optional: Sugar or Alternative Sweetener

Instruction:

  1. Slice Strawberries if fresh. Slice Banana. Add to blender. If using Fresh Strawberries add 2-4 Ice Cubes depending on your ice size.
  2. Add desired type of Milk.
  3. Add Vanilla Extract and Grated Ginger. If using Ground Ginger, note it is stronger and should be used sparingly; you can always add more and re-blend.  [personally I like to use fresh ginger when I cook, but works just as well grating and freezing for later use]
  4. Add Oatmeal.
  5. Optional to add Sugar or Sweetening Alternatives.
  6. Blend.

Vanilla, Ginger, and Sugar (if used) preferences will depend on personal taste preference and can change over time. Taste test and add additional and reblend if needed.
